so, i successfully compiled my first winsock application!
I was having issues with the compiler. turns out i forgot to link the app with libws2_32.a
a simple telnet server is on the way!
and, if anyone knows a good free hosing service, that would be great. one that allows the hosting of HTML PHP EXE's and MP3's (for a radio blog)

you could make your own Hoster :) install apache and php...
